13 Nov 2019, 18:44As per my complaint on 28 October:
I had to move house at the end of Sep 2019. I did inform Cell C of this and I was told that there was Vumatel in the area where I was moving to. I was with Vumatel in any case so it seemed that it all worked out. A request to Vumatel was submitted that the address was to change from 1 Oct 2019. i was informed by Vumatel that the installation was complete ans Cell C said I should take my current router to the new home and they will just make the neccessary changes on their side so I m able to get fibre. I did just that and after calling Cell C support numerous times, only after the 3rd person not being able to help me to get the router to work - was I told that Vumatel was in fact in the area and not in my complex. But then why do the hell do I get told that the installation is complete???? So after battling for a few days only to be told that only Evotel is inside my complex, do I then have to send a cancellation request to Cell C. Only to be told that I have to give a calenders month notice and I will be charged for that month. So I have to pay R907 for fibre that I never go to use. And now there is a claw back amount of R2,858.92. It is not my fault that vumatel is not in my area and if Cell C was with Evotel then I would gladly stay with Cell C. I do not see why I am being charged the clawback and a month of fibre that I did not get to use because of Cell C and Vumatels Incompetence and not picking up that they were indeed not in my complex as they had advised. I am not prepared to pay Cell C R 3765.92 for the clawback and for the month of October 2019. This is **************** and I am disgusted by this!!!
