Disgusted

I upgraded my contract in March 2024 before it expired in June , i took the Elevate 2 Top up package that that gave 2 devices - Oppo A78.

This has proved to be a painful exercise after being with the service provider for more than 6 years i am extremely disappointed

The contract device doesn't receive phone calls since inception we visited thier mall of Africa branch and where i was told to purchase a sim card of which I did and only worked for 2 days , took the device to thier Festival mall branch and was told to dial ##002# call / #330*1234# receive after thier consulted figited with a device for about and hour. What a waste of time. Again only worked for a few hours

I then tested the device and swapped sim cards and the number was recieving calls so clearly it was not the sim card , i then visited their Alberton branch , explained the entire issue where i was told the device is not linked to the sim card , again they figited with the phone for an hour , tested the device it received a call and to everyone satisfaction we thought the issue is resolved. A day later back at square one, how frustrating as i drove from Midrand to Alberton hoping that i will get some recourse

To date the device is not recieving calls im not getting any assistance from the service provider i have called thier call centre ref *** and was told to wait 48 hrs , i dont have that time as i use this phone for my business i have missed out a quite a few opportunities due to this

I honestly no longer want this contract as it has costed me more to receive a mere phone call

Oppo and Cell C are both useless how can a device not be linked to the sim card I will never refer anyone to these service providers they have no care whatsoever to thier loyal customer. Its appalling to be treated like such after i have never missed a single payment and right now i am paying for nothing, they are most welcome to take thier devices back and cancel this nonsense besides its only been active for 15 days
