Hi Last year my phone got ****** with my cell c sim in. After many attempts to get a sim swop done because the number was linked to alot of my personal information but no success. I was asked alot of stupid questions in order to prove that it is my number. I was told by one of the agents to rather block the number. Now I saw that soneone else is using that number.. and guess what. On true caller.. the number is still listed as mine. You guys could not give me back my number but rather passed it on to someone else to gain access to alot of my personal information!

As per RICA legislation we can only assist you with a SIM swap if the number is in your name and was being actively used by you. You also need to pass the mandatory security check before we can action the SIM swap for you.
There is a lot of ***** when it comes to SIM swaps and that is why we take the necessary steps to protect you as the customer as well as Cell C.
After 120 days of no usage on a SIM card, the SIM card is deactivated, recycled and allocated to a new subscriber
