Discontinuation of Service

I returned after 2 1/2 months during which time my cell phone was not in use as I was going out of the country and prepaid call time is not valid for roaming. On my return my cell phone number had been cancelled. I lodged a complaint at Tygervalley on day of our return 9 Sept (ref no *** customer service consultant by the name of Prince) and was informed that it would take approx 36 hours to update me. On Friday 11 Sept I returned to the branch and was informed that no such complaint had been logged and the branch would reinstate the complaint. Being a weekend I was told the delay would be 48 hours from Monday morning as Cell C are so overworked that they need a rest over the weekend. My husband's phone was also not used however, his number was not disconnected. I see no reason why I should have to wait so long for resolution and expect this phone number to be reinstated forthwith. Besides everything there was time left on my phone and this also appears to have been swallowed by their system. I was given a number at head office and that seems to be defunct. Your assistance would be appreciated. Do managers exist in the complaints dept or is it a myth .
