Disappointment for the year 2017

On the 27th October 2017, I had asked my father to book my device in for repairs as I was unable to walk due to knee surgery. The device, Blackberry Leap was on, fully charged however the issue I experienced was that the touch screen was not working. When I tried to open a particular application, something else would open. The store advised my father that they would request for the IMEI number to be loaded on the system as the device was paid out by an insurance claim. I queried with Finrite who provided me with the documentation stating I received the device from an insurance claim. On the 9th of December the device was booked in to the repair centre. The cell C store in Malvern had the phone in their store for over a month. The repair centre contacted me and said the fault of the device was liquid damage and the device was not switching on.

I am appalled by this service as when the phone was given to Vasantha in the Malvern branch, the phone was on and the touch screen was giving a problem. For one month the device was in the store and when the repair centre received the device it would not come on. I am now told that I have to pay R1429.56 in order to get a new phone when there was no liquid damage in the first place. I have been with cell C for the last 6 years and this is by far the worst service I have ever received. So many people have complained about the service the Malvern branch offers. The service is really pathetic and unprofessional.
