DEBIT ORDER WITH NO CONTRACT

Cell C has a debit order on my account that I have no idea what for. Upon contact them I am told to provide a copy of my ID, affidavit and bank statement!! Why is the onus ON ME to take time off of work to provide my PERSONAL information when the error is on their side? Have they no records to check??? How do you run a company like this?? My bank has managed to reverse two out of 5 of these debit orders and unfortunately cannot put a stop on it as the reference number keeps changing. A DOUBLE debit order went off in October!!!
