Dead on Arrival Devices - Cell Strikes Again !!!!

Hello Peter.

I took out a contract with Cell C in December 2014 for an LG G3 Beat smart phone and a data package. The phone worked for a month and my screen went blank. I took it in to try and understand what caused the damage as the phone had no scratches on any signs of falling and the screen shows no signs of cracks. There was an LG consultant onsite and he said they had experienced similar issues with other LG G3 phones and I should book it in for repairs. I then received a quotation of R1230 early February as the Technicians found internal damage to the phone. I rejected the quote as I believe I was sold a device dead on arrival, its now the 10th of March and I am yet to receive my phone. The store manager at Cavendish assured me i had a 1 year warranty on the device and given the nature of the fault, I should not be liable for any charges. I'm still without a phone but I have a bill for R6300 according to Cell C as I refused to pay them until I get my phone back. Bare in mind this is a contract that amounts to R600pm. I have been calling and sending various email to people like Johannes Lekalakala who have no ****en clue how their own processes work !! Well done Cell C !!
