**************** and not much help. Very disappointing

Working from over-seas for a few months. When I needed to receive some SMSs from banks, I noticed that my international roaming was turned off. When I enquired why, the customer service asked me to deposit R5000 before it could be activated. Just for receiving? Although I might be a low spender in Cell C's eyes, because mobile voice and data is expensive in South Africa alone, they do not want to help me otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback. Cell C was unable to assist, the deposit remained the same. Luckily I took a MTN pre-paid card with me for emergencies. MTN activated international roaming happily and without any issues :) Will move to a different provider when I am back in ZA
