data which you just cant use

With 30GB of data per month, it is sad that my data is expiring because the network is so poor. At the time of taking the contract, Cell C's coverage map showed LTE coverage in my area. Immediately after starting with this contract dat speeds were OK. Within 2 to 3 months, speeds gradually decreased. I called Cell C to investigate. I was told that there was no LTE coverage. I then asked that the recordings from my contract sign up be reviewed. To date, no person has responded in this regard. After been directed between networks, and customer care. I was found no further than I started. An "investigation" was done although nobody came to my property. They advised that the network was fine and that I had inserted my SIM card in multiple devices - although this is still in the same phone which was supp**** by Cellc. I asked for a full report on this matter and how this conclusion was arrived at. I am still awaiting a response. I have escalated the matter, at no further assistance is provided. Networks does call me....during times when I am not available. There is no direct lines to networks and it is impossible to them speak to the person who actually tried to call you. After escalation, I asked if a booster could be installed. During my last conversation with networks, I was advised that I don't qualify for a booster despite a R1600 monthly bill. (still before tests where done at my premises). Frustrated, I asked to cancel the contract, only to be told by retentions that networks has to give feedback for them to cancel. Retentions had in effect asked me to call networks to get a report which is impossible to get out of networks.

After specifically asking the consultant at retentions to speak to a manager, I expressed my disappointment that the cell C staff had continually shifted my case from 1 person to another without relaying any of my requests to subsequent staff. This had lead me to relay the same information to many staff on many occasions. The manager apologized and committed to taking responsibility for the case and calling me within an hour or 2. I did not mention that I did not mind him taking longer provided that one person was handling the matter. Some 4 hours later, the consultant from retentions and not the manager, called me to indicate that he was still awaiting information and would get back to me.

That was on the 29 December 2017. No feedback has been received since. The Cell C service has been really disappointing and the staff need to take ownerships and responsibility to adequately address client concerns.

A technician has come to my place and monitored the network although at my gate and not inside my property. This was done when I was not at home, so I am not sure if he was at the correct premises either. Its been more than a week since this was done. I have still not heard from Cellc. The technician was not permitted to provide me with details of the monitoring. In the interim, I need to continue paying my cell phone account despite inadequate service.
