Data bundle theft in Pandemic
I bought large data bundles last year valid for a year (ending 4/5/2020). I still have plenty of data that I want to continue using. Why is Cell C, in the midst of a pandemic (where most service providers are assisting their clients and even donating free data so that people can stay informed), HOW can Cell C *****/expire the data that l PAID for? I have almost 50 GB that you want to ROB me of and calling Cell C for help is like pulling out teeth since you want more to "rol*****" my data for just 30 days than a brand new bundle will cost me. There are new data laws that Cell C needs to adhere to, and a token fee is acceptable but outright theft is not.

According to the End-User Subscriber Service Charter Regulation, customers must be
allowed the ability to rol***** any data that is about to expire. The customer’s data bundles
will be displayed from earliest expiry to latest expiry date. Rol***** will only be applicable for
data.
For rol*****, customers who have data that is about to expire will be able to buy additional
time and in doing so extend the validity of their data. Customers will only be buying time; no
additional data will be added. The additional time purchased will be added to the existing
expiry date and not from the time the rol***** is purchased.
Cell C is committed to expanding digital inclusion and playing our part in supporting the government’s efforts to provide access to education and health sites at zero cost during this difficult time. We are guided by the Department of Communications and Digital Technology in conjunction with the Department of Education and other ministerial committees on the published and mandated list of sites that are earmarked for zero-rating. We currently have discounted offers that you can take advantage of:
1. Double data on All in One bundles (100% free data) from just R5 to R195
2. 50GB for R500
3. Double data offers on select 30 day bundles (from 100MB for R29) when bought on the Cell C app / portal
