**** Service, staff not informative

INCIDENT 1 I have a cellphone contract with the service provide and due for an upgrade. I visited their store in Northgate over the weekend to see the options available. The guy assisting said they do not have stock of the device advised in their booklet therefore provided other options after stating my current contract details . Not wanting to make a hasty decision he took down my details to verify if i was due for an upgrade and call me back as they were busy. The guy did not call so decided to upgrade online as the phone i wanted at the store was available online. My online upgrade was successful, received a reference number as well as SMS stating a dedicated online team will contact me. The next morning received a SMS saying NA, so I followed up only to be told my upgrade was not successful because the device has been discontinued. The truth was the device (Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime) was discontinued by still being advised.

INCIDENT 2 Tuesday called to verify Northgate had stock of my next choice (Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime). Wednesday at the store told no stock by the lady as they have not received delivery that morning. After calling around Clearwater had stock because they could not have it delivered to Northgate drove to Clearwater sitting in traffic to get this upgrade done and dusted only to find out that neither one of these consultants bothered to inform me that if I upgraded my minutes will not be carried over on a Pinnacle contract and the Straight-up contracts are no longer available. A waste of my time calling and driving around after providing me ID and cellphone number to the consultants at Northgate.

This experience has me moving to a new service provider at the end of the contract after more than 20 years with Cell C. Customer Service has gone down and staff not efficient in their jobs.
