Contract sim swap

I understand that a contract sim swap costs money, I also understand if this should be from my own recklessness then I should be penalized for losing, ruining or damaging the sim-card in any form whatsoever. I had a query before ***) in which I was also given a faulty device and was expected to pay for the amount of time the device would be away, 3 months later I call the Cell C customer and Technical services and I also went to branch to realize that my sim-card is faulty, a new Sim-card that's been active for 3+ months and now I have to pay R120 for a sim-swap.

It is as if Cell C is deliberately selling me faulty devices and expecting me to pay them for inconveniencing me, first it was the phone now the sim-card, it is not like I lost the sim-card, or it fell in the water, or something I did to make it lose it's integrity, the sim-card is here for inspection, IT IS PRACTICALLY NEW, why do I now have to pay Cell C so much for issuing me a sim-card that doesn't work?, I mean I would understand if I lost the sim-card and was trying to do a sim-swap, now I have to pay for what seems like Cell C deliberately throwing me in the deep end?, I'm not paying for that.
