Contract not cancelled as agreed
I took out a Cell C contract mid December 2013.
Immediately (within two days after receiving the handset) I noticed my voice and data connection not to be as reliable as LTE I was used to with Vodacom.
I immediately phoned Vitality Mobile who confirmed to me all in order to cancel as per the 'seven day cooling off waiver' and to return my handset to the Cell C store in Tygervalley Shopping Center, Bellville. I returned the handset and store confirmed to me all in order. End of January 2014 I noticed an amount debited from my cheque account. I immediately phoned my bank and Vitality Mobile who started investigating confirming that Cell C Tygervalley never booked the phone for collection? The contract was also not cancelled. Masesi, escalated this to Mpho and Cell C and gave me the assurance that the contract will be cancelled and account credited.
For five months in a row I had to continuously reverse my debit order up until such time Cell C solved the internal issue, apologised and cleared my account.
This week I wanted to take out a new contract with CellC, who told me I'm listed as a bad payer internally? Why wasn't my name cleared? I was not wrong to begin with!!
