Contract FALSELY advertised as a 24 months contract, when it is for an indefinite amount of time.
I have a contract for data and a wifi router with Cell C. When I took the contract I was told that the contract was for 24 months, which is due to end on the 10th of February 2020. However, I found out today that the contract is actually for an indefinite period as I am expected to pay for the contract beyond the 24 months as I did not notify them a month before our "24 MONTHS' contract ended that I no longer wish to continue with them. I was told that I would be expected to pay until the end of March 2020, which is an additional two months.

In line with the terms and conditions of the subscriber agreement, you are required to provide a calendar month notice in order to have your contract cancelled on its maturity date.

If this agreement is not cancelled during the contract period or on expiry of the contract period and is not renewed, then this agreement will run for the contract period and then on a month-to-month basis until the agreement is cancelled.
