Contract cancellation
01 November 2023, I contacted Cell C to cancel one of my contracts. I asked how much will I be paying since I have 3 contract and I withe the cancellation I will be left with two contracts. Malibongwe from Cell C told me that the reduced amount will reflect end of December as I was supposed to cancel yesterday. This happens all the time when the contract period comes to an end and its very disturbing. How can one cancel a contract on the 1st of the month and will still be subjected to pay the full amount at the end of November. I always have this kind of treatment whenever I try to cancel a contract and it's annoying. The reference number is *** and I expect that this contract be cancelled and not reflect on my end of November statement. I
Kindly note that in line with the terms and conditions of the subscriber agreement, you are required to provide a calendar month notice in order to have your contract cancelled on its maturity date.
If this agreement is not cancelled during the contract period or on expiry of the contract period and is not renewed, then this agreement will run for the contract period and then on a month-to-month basis until the agreement is cancelled.
As per the our records, your cancellation request was processed successfully on the 01/11/2023 and your contract will be terminated on 01/12/2023
