Contract after retrenchment

Hello fellows, i was retrenched in June 2017 and had two contracts with Cellc. I told them that i was retrenched and they kept on pushing me to pay. I was paying them all along since i was retrenched and i stopped as i could not afford it anymore in June 2018 as i could not afford paying. By August they handed me for collections to the attorneys. December i payed them something and settled the account in June 2019 as i was working and by then they were calling and sending me collection letters. I have sent the attorneys requesting if my payment was updated and no answer. Firstly was there no Credit Life Insurance to cover my pending debts as it took me more than a year to find another Job? Secondly was i suppose to pay them after a job loss? I would like to see the copy of a contract that was taken if really there was no credit life. Thank you

I was contacted and explained the lady about the situation. i was told that even if you are retrenched you get handed over and it looks like the process was not followed at which what the lady asked me was not done. She said there is no contract as i wanted to confirm Credit Life insurance. I will check with NCR what the process is when retrenched while waiting for her email address.

I have been asking the Attorneys to send me a full balance excluding the payment that i have already made to CellC. Sent them proof of payments they don't want to update it and still waiting.
