consumer right

On the 5th Oct I took an upgrade(great service) the phone was delivered on the 9th,then i decide to take out a data contract with cell c. So I called Cell c direct and the application was approved but a week later d SIM card never arrive so I called to follow up and only to find out that the application wasn't on the system. I escalated further on to Facebook's forum the answer I got was I cancelled the contract because I wanted an upgrade. I asked a question does Cell C have any evidence that I did that, the response I got was CellC will call me for a new application. Now does Cell C have a right to accuse me of that without providing evidence to me ? Or Cell C just chasing sales ? As a consumer I think I have the right to know what happened to application before I decide to re-apply. Another thing is Don't make accusation without any evidence which can lead to defamation of character.
