CONSULTANTS MISTAKE!

Hi. About 6 months ago i took out a contract with Cell C and covered my phone with C insurance. Now my screen has cracked and i need to claim, the insurance people tell me that the number i was using is not the insured number, i was not aware of this cause i've always been using this number. I call the guy who helped me get my contract- he has up and left and is nowhere to be found. I explain to his manager and only to find out that he ported my number to the wrong person - the manager tells me this.

Today they tell me that my number has belonged to someone else since 2014 and this person uses a different phone. The manager agrees that the consultant made a mistake but doesn't understand how, I paid R250 to port but because i don't have the receipt from 6 months ago as evidence they cant help me. They say that they pick up a sim swap payment of R10. How do i sim swap a number that is not mine????? The managers are asking me why am i only picking up this mistake now. I've been using this number since forever. I don't even have the contract sim card cause I'm using my ported number. The consultant that helped me done a complete anal job and now Cell C doesn't want to help me!!!! Is this how Cell C operates, the consultants mess up and you leave your customers deserted. I have been paying for insurance for the past 6 months whilst 'm not insured and now I've got a cracked screen that Cell C doesn't want to be liable for. I've been fighting for three weeks and now i'm just so frustrated. The general managers have been nothing but useless.
