Con artists (review #3) - READ THIS. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

Be very careful of Cell C. They increase your limits without notifying you, without your consent, without your request. You end up using more than your normal limit without knowing of any better. When you query it they use the poor excuse that you have used the service hence they will not refund you.

If you read my earlier reviews, you will see that Cell C refers me back to the terms and conditions. Using it as an excuse to rob me in day light. Further in my reviews I thanked the Cell C | PN for giving me the motivation to resolve the matter. Which I have resolved...I got ALL my money back into my bank account. This despite the Cell C | PN essentially explaining to me that I will not get any money back.

Here is how…very easy…for free…painless….you could too:

1. Remain calm, objective, positive and most importantly kind with the people you deal with.

2. First try and resolve your matter with Cell C yourself:

a. Call centres, complaint departments etc. Call 084 140

b. For cancellations call 084 143

c. Record dates, times, agent name, minutes of discussions and reference numbers of these calls.

d. Demand response times from them…and keep them to it. If they say someone will call you in two days; if they don’t CALL THEM AGAIN. Remember to get a new call reference number with every call. Remember point #1) Calm, objective….

3. If you are unable to resolve the matter with Cell C within 14 days, or do not see it moving towards a fair outcome; then stop engaging with them. You now have done reasonable effort to resolve the matter yourself. You have all the details, minutes, and reference numbers of these discussions.

4. Do not waste time and money to approach lawyers; just yet, because it may not be necessary (depending on the severity of the case). There are associations which are there to help you FREE of charge. Should you have a good/fair/reasonable case, they will help you. Contact:

a. Go to: Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) website. Create an account online by registering. Then lodge a complaint online using the online form. You now will make use of your recorded data collected earlier in the process. Refer to the calls with names, dates, times, call ref#, minutes of discussions etc.

https://www.icasa.org.za/OnlineSystems/ConsumerComplaintsCRM/tabid/749/Default.aspx

b. Consumer Affairs

Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA)

Email Address: ********** **********
Phone Number: **********

c. National Consumer Commission

Email Address: **********
Phone Number: **********

Remain positive and persevere; do not allow Cell C to con and fool you with shady deals and justifications for robbing you.

Why am I doing this?: I do not like seeing and knowing that Cell C is getting away with their shady business strategies. They tried me, but failed…do not let them rob you.

Reviewer Update

YOU HAD NOT INTENTION OF SOLVING THIS MATTER ! Look at your responses to my first review. Why did you then not ask for details in my first review.

Regardless; I made contact with Cell C NUMEROUS times to solve it. Using YOUR prefered channels of communicating issues. HelloPeter is not your helpline...for your benefit. It is a word of mouth tool for consumers benefit to ensure they receive the service they DESERVE.
