Come to the party CellC

On 23 June I made a request to Cell C for call records (archives) of my number which I had ported to Telkom a few years ago. Cell C responded the following day that they did not have records of my voice calls and asked me to follow the 'write' procedure. I rep**** mid July that I did not need voice records but printouts of call records I made sometimes in 2004. The answer again on 18 July was that they couldn't help since my number was no longer with them. I found the response weird, that data archives could disappear when a number was closed or ported. The archives, in my understanding, can also not have followed my number to Telkom. I might be wrong, but maybe someone from CellC can better explain the whole misunderstanding.
