Clueless and inconsistent

I have been under debt review for the past 3 years. In this time i have done an upgrade on both of my cellc contracts. I am now due for an upgrade and suddenly been told that im unable to upgrade due to my debt review. Firstly my contracts are not apart of my debt review structure. Secondly i have made my payments on time and in full which goes off by debit order every month. So my question is why can i not do an upgrade now? I know what i can afford and im not asking for a iphone 13 or a samsung z fold. All im asking is to upgrade the contract in the same price range! No one at cellc is able to answer my question!!! The only explanation i get is you under debt review so you cant upgrade. They cant even answer my question as to how i was allowed to do an upgrade previously while i was umder debt reviw.

Good day Mahomed

Thank you for contacting Cell C.

We have received your review regarding your upgrade.

Please note that Cell C has been lenient before when coming to upgrades for our Customers that are under debt review.  Subsequently, the courts have ruled to enforce the order that no credit can be processed until the debt process is complete.

Good day, that makes no sense at all. Its not new credit, its a continuation of the existing credit which is not even part of my debt review. So you telling me that my contracts will end on the expiration date? As you state that no credit can be processed.

The new contract consists of two fees, the package fee + the device fee. The device is issued on credit hence there is a settlement amount.

You can keep the contract on a month to month till the process is complete then you can upgrade.
