Charged me R2000 for data while I lay in hospital

My complaint to Cell C last week was not responded to so I re-logged the complaint yesterday: On 23 May I was hospitalised in ICU following 2 heart attacks. Cell C billed me for data used on my 3G Giga20 USB data contract on two successive dates while I was in hospital, namely 24 and 25 May. I was discharged from hospital on 27 May, and was faced with this huge bill for data I never used. My wife was travelling back and forward to the hospital and she never used it, and nor does she know where I stored the USB stick or even how to use it - she is disabled and on permanent oxygen. My kids are out of the hose so they never scratched in my drawers and used my modem. The Cell C call service agent does not understand that a SIM card in a USB modem that is plugged out of a PC has no power and thus cannot connect to the Internet and run up data charges on its own. My laptop was also packed away in the cupboard with a flat battery. there was no one else at home. Cell C's call agent argues that I used data and their system is \Never wrong". The SMS messages on the SIM state that on 16 May I exceeded the in bundle data. I agree. Further sms's are on 24-25 May - I was IN HOSPITAL!!!"""
