Charged a R70.00 debit order reversal fee despite payment being made.
Debit order reversal Fee R70. My account has been on direct payment for the last couple of years dating back to 2018, reason this moved to direct eft was due to no funds coming into my bank account as i was not working. Suddenly a month or two ago i noticed cell c started running a debit order through to my bank account which remains dormant, i called cell c numerous of time and every time i was advised that this has been sorted, for the last two years, if you view my payment history , payments were being made prior to the 25th as my salary usually comes though a day or so before, this month i noticed on my statement a debit order reversal fee of R70.00 i contacted cell c immediately and spoke to Nelisiwe reference *** who logged a ticket to have this fee reversed as payment was made by myself already on the 22nd of Oct which was confirmed by the, few days later i received an sms confirming my query was resolved, today i called to confirm the amount due only to find that this amount is still due to cell c. i spoke to Rutendo Ratshilimele team leader who confirmed that i for one have no credit controller assigned to my account, i have to make this payment as my debit order reversed despite having already made payment on the 22nd, was advised that there is no manager on duty nor does cell c have an escalations department, she is not allowed to provide her managers email address. so basically cell c is is now forcing cutomers to pay additional amounts on the bill despite payments being made, i would like for a senior to please get in touch to have this resolved as i will not leave this R70.00 is R70.00 no matter how small this might be for some people, if i keep quite and accept this how many other customer in my shoes is cell c making additional monies of?
