Change of Ownership

I am trying to change MY cellphone contract that happens to be on my ex husbands name still to my name.

They had absolutely NO problem to change the banking details to mine about 4 years ago. With out even as much as a signature from me? How are you taking a debit order from me without my signature Cell C?

But now to change the contract onto my name (The person who has paid for it the last 7 years and last 4 years on a debit order from an account in MY name) i have to prove that i can afford it .... ***? I have never missed a payment.... there is proof that i can afford it! And to top it off, I have to take my EX husband with me to the store to do this? He cant just sign a document and i take it with? NO, apparently not. Now i have to take my EX husband, my 3 month stamped bank statements, payslips and proof of residence to a store to try and apply for the contract I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR THIS WHOLE TIME!!!!!!

So here is one for you Cell C, how about you provide me with my signature for the debit order you have been running on my account for a contract I DO NOT OWN? Or find me an easier less stressful and irritating way of changing this contract to my name? Or I guess i could just stop the debit order completely as this would then NOT BE MY PROBLEM?

Not really... firstly I asked him to phone at 3. He phoned me at 6pm on a Friday as I was making dinner. Secondly he didn't really answer any of my questions as to how Cell C is debuting MY account without my permission, but still expects me to give him my bank statements to Prove that I can afford the contract that I have been paying for all these years on a debit order from MY personal account. And seeing as my account has NEVER been in arrears, I don't see why I need to Prove anything at all. I asked him to get the recording of where my bank details where given to give the authority to debit my account and play it to me. I'm still waiting. I told him that I will go to the bank and cancel this debit order and then go open a case of un authorised debits taken, as the debit order you are running, apparently does not even have my name on it as the account holder...

So a whole 11 days later, with no real assistance. Just a guy who's title is Social Media Correspondent...wow.. that tells me to do all the same **** they wanted me to do to start with. Still have not been played the recording of where MY banking details were loaded. After even sending them all the irrelevant documents they are requesting, they cant proceed, because i didn't send them page 4 and 5 of the ID documents... why do you even need this? Never even received a response form your employee again Cell C..,. very disappointed. Again... after i sent you my bank statements, on which you can see YOUR debit order going off my account, you still need more documents from me? This contract ends in Feb. Its on my EX husbands name. I could really just cancel the debit order and you can try and get your money from him then? You didnt mind taking my money all these years, but now you are making it almost impossible for me to put the contract on my name. Your not so efficient social media consultant, can get in touch with me to get your contract holders details. then you can liaise with him from here on out to get this resolved.
