CellC SHARKS

Useless, ridiculous, astonishingly unhelpful and apparently the right hand doesn't even know there is a left hand! I'll try to be as short as possible: My 89 year old dad has had a contract with CellC for more than 10 years - monthly payments are deducted from his credit card. Then about a month ago, he receives an SMS saying that he owes over R1K. At first we ignored it, assuming it is a ****. The SMS is repeated and threats of suspension of service or handing over of his account is added. I decide to phone CellC. After NUMEROUS phone calls to their so called "Customer Care" line(what a joke), they figure out that "somehow" my dad's credit card details have "disappeared" from their system. We accept this ridiculous explanation, as my dad has only this phone as a means to connect with the outside world from his care facility, and arrange to pay everything, including this month's(March2022) payment - this was on 11 March 2022. I was also furnished with an email address to which to send the POP - ***. And so we wait. No acknowledgment of payment. No request to resend the POP. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. I follow up on 25 March 2022 and get a response on Messenger, after I thoroughly spammed CellC all over Facebook, repeatedly. My dad's phone service has now been suspended AFTER we already paid on 11 March 2022!! Up until the week of the 25th, his service was still in operation, even though his payment information had gone missing, according to our calculations, AT LEAST 9 months ago?!!!! How is this fair and even possible!? I am now given a new email as the previous one is apparently not correct?!?!?!?! - ***. So once again I send the POP. 27 March 2022 I receive an email stating that the POP has now been received and given through to the Finance Department for allocation. Today is 30 March 2022. Still no response from them. My dad's phone service is still suspended. We will be ending his month-to-month contract with immediate effect. CELLC IS THE MOST USELESS COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS . GOOD BYE AND GOOD-FRIGGIN-RIDDANCE.
