CellC just like the Governement!

I have been a Cell C client for less than a month and I am disgusted with the service. 2 Unauthorised debit orders forced me to cancel the debit orders via my banking, after which I made SEVERAL requests to CellC to contact me. NONE have been honoured. I received an email sayint that my request to pay cash was denied and that they will continue to debit my account. Well s c r e w you. Maybe this will finally get the attention of some i d i o t in your company. Tomorrow that debit order is scheduled to go off and I will refuse to pay any damn penalty fees!!!! Very unhappy.

It was escalated a week ago. Which indicates to me that it should receive urgent response. Therefore I am doubtful that anyone will actually resolve this today, but rest assured if there is any unauthorised debit done on my account again I will do much more than write a hellopeter complaint.

Well done Cell C on actually contacting me today. Sadly you did not do anything to actually make up for my unhappiness.

Please refer to below extracts from documentation provided by "The banking organisation of SA"

9.4.4
Disputes about
debit orders
You should report any disputes relating to your
debit order
to your bank.
In particular, you should raise a dispute when the third party:
has withdrawn an amount before the date specified in your instruction;
continues to collect a debit order that you have cancelled or is subject to a stop payment instruction;
debits your account for an incorrect amount;
has collected a debit order you did not authorise or in a manner you did not authorize (e.g. split the collection amount or consolidate several debit
orders); or
has collected a debit order that is not consistent with your instruction
Your bank may request you to provide proof of identity and to confirm the dispute. If your bank determines that the debit order is not authorised by yourself, your bank may reverse the transaction and any related fees. You willnot be able to dispute a debit order if the authorisation was done by you using your debit card and PIN.

Further more the consultant actually just agreed that CellC did breach the contract with myself by debiting on dates that suite them and not according to the agreement. He then proceeded to try and actually blame the sales consultant that assisted me, a wonderfully helpful lady called Heather, for Cell C's accounts departments mistake. Pathetic. I regret taking this deal but circumstances has forced me into it.

I in no way want to cancel this agreement I just want Cell C to say sorry and actually do something to regain my trust.

Further more:

9.4.3
Stopping a
debit order
You must cancel a debit order by providing written or other appropriate notification to the third party whom you authorized to make the deductions.
You may also stop a future debit order payment for a given period by requesting that your bank places a stop payment instruction on your account.
Your bank will advise you regarding the period for which the stop payment
instruction will be effective, and how it operates. You may also be charged a fee for implementing this stop payment instruction.

Day 3 and still no response to any of the above? Ridiculous.
