CELLC CONTRACTUAL TRICKS AND PATHEIC SERVICE

i have been a loyal cellc customer for many years but they have no ******* me into a contract that they will not let me out of. through this is have also discovered that they call centre, customercare, complaints department, exclusive department and virtually all internal operations are total useless. one can email and call till you are blue in the face. they just transfer you from on edepartment to another. i get an immediate auto responder within seconds every day i email but never a human being to comunicate with, much less solve a problem. they say they escalate the issue and then still zero progress. for many years i left my contract as expired so that i could move whenever i wanted. late last year cellc had a special on a sim-only deal which i took only on the basis that i could cancel at any time. it was a R599 x24 month deal. the sales person ASSIRED me that all sim only deals could be cancelled at any time without penalty. as long as i cancel before the 15th of the month, it will terminate at the end of that month. i asked the sales person specifically, "what about the the mention of 24 months...? (R599x24months). They said that the special pricing was valid for 24months if you take the deal, meaning that month 25 could be at higher pricing. it was not that i would be tied into a 24 month contract with early settlement penalties. if a sales person lies to you to get you to sign a deal, that is a huge problem. if the sales person is poorly trained and does not know what they are talking about and giving clients misinformation that is also a cellc problem. tricking clients into signing deals and then later relying on small print which is contrary to what the sales person told you is disgusting conduct. they can see that my previous contract was expired for many years despite them constantly trying to upgrade me. i am not making up my claim... i have another line with cellc that includes a device and is under legitimate contract. i have no problem with this. BUT THE ONE THAT IS SIM ONLY THAT THEY ******* ME INTO MUST CANCEL NOW!

Thank you for the response.

Just so you know, I will not accept if you send me fine-print, showing how you hooked me, which is in contradiction to what your sales people assured me of, which currently is still backed up by staff currently, that all sim only deals could be cancelled at any time without settlement/penalty, and that the suddenly have many unhappy clients who have been ******* and trapped by this sneaky move.

There is only one outcome that is acceptable here and that is:
We apologise for the inconvenience. We can see that your previous line was indeed expired for a number of years which aligns with your version of events. We accept that there could have been miscommunication here and therefore will release you from the deal without settlement or penalty. End.

I have been a loyal cellc customer and advocate for many years. I have to move because you unfortunately do not support esim in watches. Although I maintain that I should be ******* into and bound by this deal, if you could offer esim sync with watches, I could stay. If you are reasonable here I will view it as honourable and continue using cell c for my other lines. However, if you are going to stand by tricking me into a deal and force me to stay with you when you cannot offer modern esim/cell/watch technology, then I will take serious issue with that, warn as many people as possible, and move all cellc lines asap, never to return.

ps. since you partner with vodacom, and possibly others, how is it possible that you cannot offer esim watch sync when vodacom and mtn can...?

Oh my word...! You guys are revealing serious incompetence and disarray in your company. the lady who has been involved in this debacle from the beginning is back on the case. Doreen emailed to tel me that the store would call. I have already been to the store, days ago. they cannot do anything.
anyway, Linda (man) from the store did call me earlier but had NO IDEA why he was calling. He however, totally agreed with me and all the other staff about the problem Cellc has created here. he reiterated what they other reps had told me, that they have unhappy clients every day and that you guys and/or the reps have had meetings about this big issue. it is common knowledge and a contentious issue in your company that you have pulled this move on your clients. he referenced other clients who were sold these "interim contracts" while they wait for iphone stock, and then they could/should get out penalty-free and upgrade when the iphone stock arrived. they are now also trapped. everyone knows, your staff included, that you have shafted your clients here. stop this nonsense now! look after your clients and they will look after you. or if you continue to aggravate your clients you will crash and burn. you guys also don't seem to know what escalate means. you have been passing this hot potato around between the same departments for weeks with no progress. escalate means up...! send it to your manager and their manager and their manager till someone can fix this mess you have created.

Hi. as much as it was an utter nightmare to deal with cellc call centres and customer care as described in this complaint, unbelievably mtn is far worse! i have been a happy cellc client for about 10 years. happy with the deals and the network coverage etc. the reason i had to leave was because cellc do not offer esim for watches (which is becoming very popular so you need to get up to speed) and more and more businesses are using 086/087 numbers so despite my top package at cellc with thousands of free minutes, i was being hammered on extra charges. eg holding for banks call centre could easily cost you R100 in airtime for 1 call. My experience has been so bad with mtn over the past 2 months i would actually love to come back to cellc but the 086/087 number sand esim remain a problem. i was on a pinnacle 10gb for R599 when i left and now cannot get that deal back either. if i could get that deal back, sim only, month to month, like i signed up for, i would probably return. the hugely frustrating issue with cellc was that i was sold a sim-only month to month contract and then when i wanted to cancel they told me i need to settle 24 months. there is a big issue in the cellular industry with service delivery, accountability and transparency. when is cellc getting esim for watches?
