CellC cons Pre-Paid subscribers for quick CASH FLOW!

I lodged a complaint on Sunday, 09 Jun 2019 - Ref # ********** 971 complaining about spending R2,000 on a pre-paid data card and since Sunday I have achieved the following speeds: 1.32mbps downlaod and 1.19mbps upload. It should be a minimum of 8.00mbps download and 5.00mbps upload. I can't connect to my emails or the internet and have resorted to BUYING another data card with another service provider!

I'm blind in my right eye, deaf in my right ear and am physically disabled (unable to walk un-aided) because of the Bedford Mall shooting in Jan 2015! I was left un-employed and taught myself how to code websites and this is how I pay my rent and stay alive!

For the last 4 days I haven't been able to work on any of the websites I have been given because "something" is wrong with the CellC tower which is 3km's from me and my data card is trying to connect to a CellC tower that is 15km's away from me which is ALSO NOT working!

I have spoken to scores of CellC employees who have ALL to told me: "We apologise".... I don't want an apology!.....I want to be able to work and support myself and I can't do that as a web designer/programmer if I can't get access to the internet!

Is it time to phone Steve Hofmeyr and ask him to do a "multichoice" on CellC?... because I don't know what else to do.... since Sunday I've spoken to over 20 CellC employees and have a plethora of screenshots of "lack of service/speed" and when I tell CellC this they don't care! I was even told by 3 CellC employees that they don't have access to phone me bac****!.....HELLO.....they're a telecommunications company and they can't even phone their disgruntled customer back! SHOCKING!!!!

This leads me to believe that CellC have "over-sold" access to their networks and they don't care because I'm a PRE-PAID (R2,000 once-off) customer and not a R25,000 per month (on contract) customer!!!!

SHAME ON YOU CELLC!!!!

The next time you see a blind, deaf and in a wheelchair woman at a robot...please donate something...even if it's food, clothes, a blanket or ANYTHING...because.... SOON....thanks to CellC.....that could very well be me....a person who hasn't asked for and doesn't want charity....I'm quite prepared to work for my money...but CellC is making it LITERALLY impossible!

Oh my goodness! The network investigation consultant Emmanuel Nkunu is a joke! I worked for the company that originally bought internet access to South Africa - Intekom which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Telkom and he tries to make so many excuses about why the signal is bad after me telling him I know how the telecommunications networks operate and after full knowledge that I'm blind in my right eye, deaf in my right ear and and physically disabled with my legs and can't drive! His solution to the problem is that I spend R168 to Uber to the original CellC store that I purchased the data card from and request a refund on the remaining un-used data and then spend another R168 to Uber back home. Seriously CellC? He then also admits that they KNEW about this problem 5 months ago and did nothing! Instead they facilitated "Network Sharing" whereby CellC allows other cell phone providers to "***gy-back" off their network...specifically this particular tower which is already taking strain.....all in the name of profit! CellC...without your loyal customers like me who have used CellC since inception...you really are pathetic and will only get away with it for so long! He then says, "they" have formulated a plan to now upgrade the tower to accommodate more users to be logged on at the same time but they need to see if there is "money in the budget"....and....if it's approved it'll take another 6 months to upgrade the tower. Seriously CellC?...you didn't bet on a blind, deaf and disabled person to know how networks operate and thought your excuses would fly?! Next time...don't allow a "Network Investigations Consultant" to contact someone who was part of building the original network and working very closely with SAIX (South African Internet Exchange) and ICASA. Perhaps I should come an do an evaluation/audit of your entire network to see where your other "short-comings" are and will be in the future!
