CellC admits fault but refuses to refund

On 8 December 2016 I bought a GIGA 200GB anytime once off sim from CellC Rosebank. I remember when purchasing the sim the sales consultant checked coverage in the area that I stay in and it said that it was all fine.

The download and upload speed has never been great but it was still usable and therefore I have used 126GB of the 200GB.

Over the last couple of months I noticed that the coverage deteriorated substantially. The best download speed I got in the last 2 weeks is 2.56mbps and best upload is 0.94 mbps.

I therefore logged a call and the feedback that I got this morning is that CellC has checked and confirmed verbally that there is a network issue in my area and that it will be resolved sometime in 2018, which is long after my 200GB expires.

I was asked to go into the CellC store where I purchased the sim, provide the SD number and discuss the refund, which is exactly what I have done.

After numerous calls back to the call centre, that sent me to store in the first place, the outcome was that I should write a formal dispute as CellC is unwilling to refund me for the unused data, which I can not use now due to the network issue that they confirmed is in my area.

It has been a week since I have send through my dispute and I still have not had a response
