Cell Sub-Standard Service and selling a faulty pocket router

Hi Cell C. I went to Cell C in Woodmead to buy a pocket router on 20th Dec 2024. I went away for holidays. The router is not working, I returned it yesterday;they refused to refund me & did not swap the router with a working router. I went there with a Vodacom router that had my sim card and it was working perfectly. I then inserted my sim card into their Cell C router and their router is not working as the signal strength indicator was red. What they then did was to take out my sim card, inserted in a router of a lady who works that is the exactly the same as the router they sold to me. The router of that lady worked perfectly with my sim card. They then said they booked it for repairs. What is strange they refused to give me back my money so that I can go to buy a new router elsewhere. They did not swap the router with a working one, either. They booked the router for repairs, now I must wait for it whereas clearly the problem is the reconfiguration or programming of that particular router and this is Cell C's problem because they said the router works with any sim card. I paid for the router cash on 20th Dec, Cell C give back my money then I can purchase a router elsewhere or else you give me a new working router. This is phatecltic service and let alone in the beggining of the year.

Good day
I believe the information you are asking me you should inquire from Cell C Woodmead as I have no clue of it. They took the router so I dont know the IMEI number & have not been given a repair job number.

I think you need to educate the employees of customer service 101, because I should have just been given a replacement router as clearly its the hardware i.e router itself that is faulty. Then, you deal with the backwards logistics of sending the router to the repair center, booking of it etc and you insulate the customer in such processes and avert any inconvenience to the customer.
