cell phone contract

Good day kindly assist I had a contract with cell c which I wanted to cancel it. I called cell c to ask 4 cancellation amount they said I must pay the amount of R999.50 to settle my account which I paid,when I call again to check if my account was cancelled they told me yes but I still need to pay r152 for this month fee I lost the phone two months back last month I pay the full amount of r192 which I know is for the previous month but why must I pay again for the line that was cut off two months back cause I call immediately when I lost the phone to ask them to cut the line & when I ask for the settlement I was told that is for the last 12 month from my contract.
