Cell is nice untill you need to cancel

On the 1st of September 2015 I called to give my one months notice to cancel my contract. They also sent me confirmation by sms that the contract will be cancelled by the 01 of October 2015. On the 1st October 2015 they put the contract benefits on my phone. When I called to ask why they are giving me benefits when my contract is supposed to be cancelled, they said on the 1st of October 2015 I was eligible for benefits, which I don't understand because I cancelled my contract. I told them I did not want the benefits as I cannot afford to pay for October which is the reason why I cancelled my contract. I told them to reverse the transaction and remove the benefits from my phone. They did not do that. They said I have to pay for October. Today I went to a cell c outlet in Sandton and I was told that there is no record of me phoning to cancel on the 1st of September so I have to pay for October and contract will be cancelled on 22 October I am very disappointed with Cell C. In fact I am cancelling the other contract I have with Cell C. This is poor service and I feel ******* and helpless.
