Cell C's Poor Service

I have been a Cell C contract customer since 2009 and recently got a second sim card, pre-paid, in 2022. I am now in the process of transferring to MTN for many reasons:

If one utilises Cell C as one's service provider, one never has signal, no matter where one is in the country. While working in Cape Town, I always struggled for signal; working in Worcester: even worse signal. This year I moved to East London and the signal got even worse. Inevitably, everyone around me would have perfect connectivity on their devices and both of mine would be struggling. That, however, is only the tip of the ice berg. My pre-paid phone, which has a new sim card from 2022, would NEVER have connectivity. The signal was not even strong enough to send a WhatsApp most of the time and I would have to hotspot from my contract sim card in order to utilise my phone. How can two devices, one prepaid and one on contract, from the same service provider, have such differences in connectivity? I truly believe that Cell C prioritises their contract customers over their pre-paid customers. I have 2 and a half years of experience of having two devices with this set up...

When I tried to cancel my contract yesterday, 25 February, the Tygervalley Cell C branch did not even open it's doors on time. The operating hours are from 9am and by 9:30am, I left, since no staff members had yet arrived for work and the branch was still completely dark and closed up.

One would think that with such poor connectivity, especially since Cell C already has to utilise MTN's and Vodacom's towers, the prices at Cell C would match the service one gets and yet Cell C is still more expensive than MTN.

Needless to say, I am now making the move away from Cell C since I can no longer justify paying the prices they demand for the service they give.
