CELL C's Blatant Thievery

Hi All. I had two contracts with Cell C. In August of 2018, I called in to their customer support service to cancel my contract, because I had already taken out a contract with Vodacom. They convinced me to retain at least ONE of the contracts, with a reduced subscription of R34. Per month. I accepted that. I was advised to go into a CELL C shop and fill in the necessary documents, to cancelled the one contract. I proceeded to do just that, the very next day. I was assured by the assistant that it would be cancelled immediately. My cancelled sim card was cut up in front of me.Every month I would just glance at the Cell C sms that would come through for payment on my cell phone. Just wondered sometimes why they would send me two messages. I looked at the two messages I received last month. I then saw that although it was for the same amount, it was for two different accounts. I called CELL C to ask them to explain. According to them I had two active accounts. I asked them for the Cell numbers. They gave me my current cell number and the number of the card that was cut up almost four years ago. I asked them how this could be possible? They said they only go according to the information on their system. I asked them when (according to their system), was the last time the card was active/used. On checking that, they found that the last activity was in August 2018. They couldn't explain why I was still being billed. After consulting his superiors, the assistant came back to me and said they will officially cancel the ALREADY cancelled contract and make the last deduction on the 26th March 2022. I really stripped. I asked the assistant if he was seriously stupid. They agreed to just "cancel" my ALREADY CANCELLED contract and stop deductions with immediate effect. I asked them what do I do now to recover my ****** money, because that is what it amounts to now. They couldn't answer me. I waited till today before I wrote this review, to see what would happen on this stop order date. Trust me, those ******* at CELL C are STILL DEDUCTING money for a NON EXISTING contract, from my bank account. It is tough enough for a working man, but even more so for a retired man with no income. Total **********LY deducted off my account over the past four years, is +- R2000. I am going to the bank tomorrow, to see how much of my ****** money I can recover. Please STAY AWAY from CELL C. My review says it all
