Cell Contract Cancellation 3 years ago

I had cancelled and paid up my contract in in 2018 and every time I pull my credit report it reflects there with an outstanding amount. Make matters worse i call Cell C 084 143 and select option 2 for cancelations, the lady tells me my account has been handed over to the legal team. The lady provides my with a number ***, a friendly lady picks up and checks my account and says nothing was handed over, and she advises me to call Cell c call center back, now I have to go back and forth!
