Cell Ce is *****ing my money

I have requested for my contract to be cancelled, I have given my 30 days cancellation notice. Now I receive my account and i need to pay for a full month subscription even though my contract will cancel on the 17th July 2020. The lady whom I spoke to advised I will only pay pro rata, which is fair and I do not mind paying for the 17 days, but why on earth must i pay for 31 days?

We have received your review regarding your cancellation/billing query. Please note that statements are generated on the 1st of the new month. A disconnection credit due to you will only reflect on the August invoice.

This does not make sense. How will Cell C refund me? I would like an invoice for 1st July 2020 until the 17th July 2020, which I can pay on the 25th July 2020. I am not paying for the full month and I do not use the benefits either.

There will be an invoice generated on 1 August 2020, which might have a disconnection credit which would then be refunded to you.
