Cell C…. You cannot get a contract because you do not have credit….

<p>I have been a Cell C customer for years and years with 3 contracts. 1 Contract was used by my son since when he was still at school. He has now been employed for 4 years (same employer) and in that same time obtained a degree. He wanted to take over the contract from me and pay for it himself. Cell C – Centurion Mall, Centurion. We went there 3x times. Each time we spend more than 1-2 at the same shop and nobody could help. His only cloting account of 3 months apparently did not provide enough detail of his credit record. SIX months of bank statements and paysheets turned out to be not enough information for Cell C to provide him with a good enough credit record to open his own account so that he could pay for his own phone. And he earns a decent salary…. Not only could they not assist (because he does not have any bad credit?????). The branch took ages to connect to the call centre. We had to go back 3x times – still without being helped and the staff were extremely reluctant to help. The one staffmember that helped us on the one day – after 2 hours in the shop – did not even recognise us on the following day!! We walked out of there without anything being achieved. We will now run the contract till the end of its expiery date. Then close the account and then he will go and find himself a service provider that is prepared to help. Why is it that Cellphone Companies do everyting in there power to find new customers but do nothing to try and keep them?</p>
