Cell C upgrades Head Office

Cell C??On 19th February 2019 Trisha from your retentions department telephoned with regards to my upgrade on 074 *** ****, she offered me an upgrade to a Huawei P Smart for R299.00 which is R112.75 more than I currently pay. I advised her that I was not interested in the Huawei and would like to continue with the upgrade to a Samsung preferably. I had prior to this had a look on Cell C website and decided on a Samsung J5 for R169.00 OR J7 for R199.00 I was then told by Trisha that the J5 was no longer available but that Cell C run specials on Fridays and she would phone me back on the Friday 22/02/2019 to see what they could offer. Trisha phoned on the 22/02/2019 and once again offered me the Huawei P Smart to which I said No, I told her that I would like a Samsung and she suggested the J4 or the J7 so I opted for the J4 as this was the cheaper option for me and it is a secondary phone/contract for my son. I accepted the upgrade and confirmed delivery to my Office which is across the Highway from Cell C head office. An sms was sent to my son’s phone confirming the upgrade, and so I waited for delivery. Monday the 25th due to traffic in the area we were made aware that Cell C staff were on strike and 26th February 2019 as well. I left it for a couple of days as I was aware of the strike and knew that it would probably take longer than normal. Friday 1st March 2019 I once again phoned Cell C office on their 084 145 around 1pm and was advised that they had run out of stock and a general sms was sent to all “upgrades” to advise that, which I still have not received to date. But that as soon as they have stock they would despatch the order and deliver accordingly. I then received Configuration settings on 05 March 2019 on my number 084 *** **** and due to the fact that I have heard nothing from Cell C since my call on the 1st March 2019, I decided to enquire whether they had received stock and if they had any idea when my upgrade would be delivered, after speaking to 4 different people in different departments and doing 4 “security checks”(6 Questions each) I was told to contact Trisha in retentions as my upgrade had been Cancelled! The call centre agent then tried to transfer me to her and I ended up speaking to someone else and having to do your “security check” AGAIN and told that I must speak to retentions, At this stage my Blood Pressure was running very high and I thought best to just end the call and calm down this call took 16 mins 3 secs. I then received a call from 084 135 and it was the elusive Trisha, who then proceeded to tell me that the Samsung J4 had been discontinued and that Head Office does not have stock after back and forth, back and forth she told me that I must go to the one of your stores and check if they have stock, to which I exploded. I placed my order on the 22 February 2019, at 10:06 am in a call that took 25 mins and 3 secs after she checked availability and the contract was up graded. Samsung discontinued the phone J4 on 1 March 2019 (6 days later) and I only hear this when I have taken the time to follow up for the 2nd time (11 days later) only to be told that they had discontinued and that I the client for over 25 years must go to your stores and find my phone to be able to upgrade. I think not!!!! I have instructed Trisha who is suppose to be in your retentions department to Cancel this contract 074 *** **** with immediate effect and when my Contract comes due for upgrade that you will be losing this contract too. My whole family are with Cell C and have had it with Cell C’s incompetence and the endless red tape and run around that we have received from you in the year and a half so that will be another 6 contracts to follow. I am really disappointed in the service I have received from Cell C as a paying customer for over 25 years, who advocated your Company to all who would listen back when you starting doing business in South Africa.

I am totally appalled by the treatments do service I received
