Cell C upgrades
Good Day,
Please note I am a loyal customer with Cell C, for the last 15 years. I am currently under debt review and I am due for an upgrade. I have been trying the past 2 weeks to upgrade to my existing contract. I am not getting any joy from Cell C, as they indicating I cant upgrade due to been under debt review. I have been on debt review for almost 5 years and I never had a problem with Cell C in upgrading, as I have 3 contracts with them and all accounts are up to date. Today the 17th of December 2020, I have called their vetting department on *** and told things have changed as for the past 3 months as Cell is under new management. I was also told that I will not be able to upgrade as I am on Debt review. Been the loyal customer I am extremely unhappy with the treatment I have received from Cell C. Why was existing customers of cell c not notified of this. Why in the pass it was not a problem to upgrade with cell c although one was on debt review. When I went on debt review my debt review company indicated my cellphone contract will not be affected I will be able to upgrade which I have been doing for the past 6 years. Cell C wake up and stop treating people that under debt review like trash, as all my 3 contracts and account with you are up to dates with no defaults.
I would clarity on how true it is that you cant upgrade your existing cellphone contract due to been on debt review.

We do understand your frustrations, however, it is part of our upgrade policy. A customer cannot upgrade their contract if they are under debt review.

Since when this policy become effective?Why was this information not communicated to existing clients?So do I cancel my 3 cellphone contracts with your company....Pathetic that you guys treat people under debt review like trash... Check my 3 cellphones contracts I have never defaulted....I would like a superior to contact me and reply to my answers to why I was able to upgrade all these years and all of sudden the change... A telephonic call will be appreciated...
