Cell C unprofessionally trying to rip me off
My contract with Cell C came to an end by 5 May 2023. I called their call centre on 5 April to inform them I had no intention of renewing the contract, that the number must be converted to prepaid. They told me my last payment would be 28 April. Now on 28 May they deducted for the same account that has been cancelled, to which I responded by reversing the payment. Now without any word from Cell C, I get SMSes from some law firm (HP attorneys) that my account was handed over to them for collection. What collection because I was assured that my contract has ended and has been converted to prepaid?

10 Jul 2023, 10:26Dear Cell C, From this report I was told to pay 479 to HP attorneys, which I did. Now I am getting calls from you still saying there is still more outstanding. Initially, I reversed 409 and it was 479 with attorneys. I called Cell C a couple of times inquiring about outstanding amounts and requesting a settlement letter and instead, I get a call that I still owe and need to pay up and your agents are rude af too!
