Cell C unauthorised debit order!
So my contract with Cellc ended in May but I have been getting charged R349.00 monthly for a number I had already deactivated.
For some reason it makes sense for Cell C to load data on a deactivated number with a contract that has ended.
I asked for a cancellation after reversing the debit order and was told I can't cancel until i pay the balance.
Firstly, how does it make sense to anyone to charge me for a number that I called and deactivated?
I went into cellc to black list the phone after it was ****** and no one thought to call me that once my contract is up, i have to actually call and cancel as I thought this would be automatic if I don't upgrade.
This is rediculous and should be regarded as an unauthorised debit order. I signed a 24 month contract with Cell C which ended in May, who gave you authorization to debit my account after the 24 months is over?
I spoke to Chifuniro Phulusa in retentions who told me I can't cancel my contract until I pay.
In line with the terms and conditions of the subscriber agreement, you are required to provide a calendar month notice in order to have your contract canceled on its maturity date.
If this agreement is not cancelled during the contract period or on expiry of the contract period and is not renewed, then this agreement will run for the contract period and then on a month-to-month basis until the agreement is cancelled.
A team member will contact you and provide clarity.
