Cell C The *****

Cell C is a *****. I went in to Cell C V&A Waterfront branch in Cape Town in January 2022 while on holiday there. I went in to get a SIM only deal of R249 and a 90 min airtime of R50 which was advertised in the brochure. My total monthly payment was to be R299 exl VAT. To my shock Cell C debits more than twice the amount of R645. I did go to a Cell C store near me in Durban to query the debit order. They phoned Cell C customer care and a case number was allocated to me. Thereafter Cell C contacts me to say they cannot do anything on their side because I took the contract at a store and that I should sort it out with the store. I live in Durban and I cannot go to Cape Town so I called the store but management very rudely told me that they can't rectify their mistake and I should call customer care. So I have been going back and forth and there is no help whatsoever. The store at V&A Waterfront does not want to take accountability for their mistake or give me a refund and if I want to cancel I have to pay a fee of R4500. This is totally unacceptable and a ripoff.

Cell C is the worst provider ever.
