Cell C stole my money,
I am so disgusted by Cell C customer service, Thos is the 3rd time I am written thing review and there no response to it, not even Hello Peter. Does this platform still work?
I had a cell C contract which was handed over to Blake associates, I then paid ithe while outstanding balance of R6 920 on the 7th of January 2021. However it’s been a month and Cell Chad not unlock my cellphone number/ phone.
However each time I call their customer care they all tell me different stories some they tell me to wait a24 hours some 72 hours, some 7 days somet they’ll me 14 days and some they tell me to wait 30 days before they can unlock my number.
So I went to cell C Norwood, dealth with the lady by the name of Thuli she called Cell C customer care, and they asked me to send the following documents 1. Copy of my ID book 2. Affidavit stating that the number in question is my cell phone number 3. Proof of residence
4. Proof of payment
This just doesn’t make sense because they have the copy of my ID, they have my address it’s written on the statement they send to me every month, they know it’s my number they can see that on their system, They know that I have paid it reflects on their system however I provided Thuli in Cell C Norwood store with those documents.
She gave me a SIM card telling me to go home and she will forward the things and do my sim swap while I am at home. I gave her my email addd and my son’s contact number should she needs to contact me and it’s been 2 weeks I haven’t heard from Thuli and my number is still locked.
It’s been a full months I paid Cell C R6 920 and still my number and phone are still locked. So basically they stole my money.
I have called Cell C customer care and they not assist me, I have visited 2 different Cell Stores Norwood mall and Sandton City and still no one is will to help me. Who do I go too?
Do I tweet this?
Facebook?
Or just sue Cell C.

I thank you so much for your efforts,
I haven’t received any contact from Cell C as they have said on their response.
However I have called cell C customer care again I spoke with lady by the name of Katlego Mokgame, she has told me that they can no longer open my cellphone number *** neither they cannot unlock my iPhone 8.
So basically after I paid them what’s due to them I am now sitting with a phone worth R17000 and yet I cannot used it hence it doesn’t accept any other SIM cards. When I ask Katlego Mokgame around about 15:55 to 16:09 as to what do I do now because I have given them what’s due to them. She told me she doesn’t know but they can’t give me the number as the prepaid number and they also cannot unlock my phone. Katlego was very rude, not knowledgeable I asked to speak with her supervisor, she told me the supervisor went home, I asked for the team leader she said the team leader also went home, I said well call the manager for me or anyone in charge she told me she is charged, I then threatened to report to Hello Peter and she asked to hold for a team leader, however I never got to speak with a teamleader because Katlego came back telling me that I should call Blake associates ( Cell C debt collectors) to open my phone.
However Blake has handed my account back to to Cell C, Katlego told me that the payment of R6920 is not reflecting on them so that means the account is still with Blake associates. I find this very strange because when I was in Norwood mall Thuli told me she can see that I have made the payment it’s reflecting on the system.
And also when Thuli and I from Cell C Norwood mall called the Cell C support the guy told me to produce
1.copy of ID
2. Affidavit
3.Proof of payment
4. Proof of Residence
Inorder for them to give me back my number and unlock my phone.
I just don’t understand why they sending me back and forth, I don’t understand why they are telling me different stories as if I call different companies. I don’t understand why they made me send all these documents for nothing.
So Hello Peter, I thank you so much for trying. I don’t know what else to do. I have paid them in full and yet I have zero access to my phone.
I hope you know you understand why I say Cell C stole my money. The consultant I dealth with today is the worst.

You can get your number back but on prepaid. Please purchase a new Cell C SIM card and Rica register it, then send us the Rica serial number and we will assist you.
Please check your emails for a handset un-blacklisting form, complete it and send it back to us.
