Cell C steels money by adding services to invoice without authorisation
Cell C committed ***** by billing me for 3rd party services without my knowledge or authority.
They called it content services and invoiced me from May 2018 till my contract expired in September 2018.
After several requests they send me a homemade document containing my number, a unknown service and a activation date from July to August while they invoiced and charged me from May to September as proof that I authorised the service.
After several calls, emails and empty promises they still failed to stop the service or refund me. Cell C also informed me that it’s not them charging me but a 3rd party and I must resolve the issue with them. This is while Cell C invoice me and took my money.
After going through my agreement terms the Cell C subscription rules states the following: “Prior to being granted access to the Content, you will be required to confirm your acceptance of the associated fees by completing Cell C’s double opt-in process. No billing will take place against your account and you will not receive any Content until this double opt-in process is completed.”.
After asking them for legal proof and the double opt in proof they ignored my request and stopped replying to my requests.
Cell C did not add you on any content services. As per communication, Moses contacted you and provided you with feedback. He investigated the matter with WASPA and sent a confirmation email with the outcome.
