Cell C - *****s

I was at a information by Vumatel at Mikro Primary school where there was a few ISP. Cell C ((Amman : ********** 283)was one of the ISP there.

They handed out pamphlets where there is a special for C-fibre winter special. I asked them if I can apply for the package and I was informed that it is not a problem. They even asked for my address and confirmed that I can apply. I still informed them that I will apply as close as possible to the end of my Telkom contract.

I have app**** 11/08/2018 for the particular special 50/50 fibre for R899/month. I followed up several times to no joy. I was then informed on the 27/08/2018 by Kim from Cell C Soneike that I cannot get the service at this rate as I am not in the right area.

I went to them a week before I completed the application form and they were not aware of the special. So I showed them the special. They also said that it should not be a problem but they will have to send it to there JHB department for approval.

What I found change is that with me persisting to get a answer they referred me to Andre Bester on the 27/08/2018 on which I contacted him to find out how far is my application. His response was that my application is not loaded. He said that I need to complete the documentation again. So I informed him that I am looking for the special as they have provided on there pamphlet.

They now what me to pay R300 more for the same package as they are saying that my place is not in the right area. This was all confirmed prior to completing all the forms that I will get the 50/50 for R899.

This is false sales as far as I am concerned. They should be taken to consumer board for false advertising and there staff should also be trained about there services and what they are selling.

Afternoon, Cell C got back to me with a whole host of excuses as to why they will not provide me with the advertised and informed that certain package is available to me just to change there mind as to what package I may not use on the specials. Yet they attended and information session Held by Vumatel and for my area and handed out the winter special for the 50/50 fibre for R899. If they attend a information session and it is not applicable to the special do not give the public false information that you can get these deals. They are a bunch of ***** just to attract you to there services which they will not fulfill. I would like to know what about the consumers act of misrepresentation of information.

The consultant that was assigned to contact you and assist with this matter. Investigated the matter with the relevant departments and provided feedback accordingly, there are records and documents as confirmation.
