Received 3 false dates for early upgrades. For all 3 they had us there, going through the process and then giving alternative dates. 
Will then phone us and tell us they sorted it. We go in again. Lies. 

Supposed to apparently now go back on the 12th of July. Not even going to bother. Probably ANOTHER waste of time

Just an update:
We will most definitely be waiting for the contracts that we have to run out and then cancel.
The lady that phoned me did not even have the decency to say Goodbye after I told her she had to phone my husband and I provided her with the number. She also seemed to be in a hurry and quite impatient with me. Must have been told to sort this out by her superiors during her break and it was an inconvenience to her.

When she did phone my husband, she basically had no empathy for the situation. I don't care if he was upset on the telephone. Considering how much Cell C made him jump through hoops in the last couple of weeks, it is his right to vent.
Cell C should consider employing agents who is not just there for the money, but people who actually wants to help and improve the customer journey. This should include soft skills and empathy training. She did not offer to investigate the inconvenience caused by staff, and advised my husband in short that that is how the Cell C system works and what does he want her to do?
The question to your answer lady: NOTHING. We will just do what we need to from our side, and not only cancel our personal contracts when they run out, but also recommend the same to all our friends and clients.
The message from her was QUITE clear - Cell C does not care about their clients, the running around WE had to do nor the false information communicated by their staff.

The assistance on Hello Peter was great thank you. I really appreciate all the messages and empathy on this platform from the person who dealt with me. That is the only positive in this situation.

We now consider this matter resolved and will not be recommending Cell C to our worst enemies.

Let's just call it a day.
She phones back. My husband, now even more annoyed, tells her the only resolution is upgrading immediately as he has been running back and forth due to incorrect dates communicated via various staff. She give him a date in August...
Still no investigation. Still no empathy. No resolution.
We are sticking to letting the contracts run out and canceling.
Very disappointing.

So why did one of the branches phone me last week to advise I can go in this week?
No man guys!!!

We are definitely canceling. That remains the same.

And another call. Tellin us to go to a branch to upgrade. Currently at Cell C Clearwater. And guess what?
If the eligibility is only for Aug, why is tour UPGRADES department stating now?

So now the store is on the phone with the Head Office
Store is saying no.
Retention is saying yes.
Upgrades is saying no.
So what now?
Do you train anyone ever?
Oh now changed their minds again. Apparently we have upgraded on the account which we did not do. We have never upgraded on this account EVER! Someone has stuffed up ROYALY on your side, and no-one is taking responsibility.

My husband is fuming and is about to start screaming as the agent on the phone does not want to go find their Supervisor who is apparently outside the building.
Not worth the hassle anymore.
