Cell C selling Pre Rica Cards & do not want to port the number once in use.

I bought a Rica sim card from a Cell C consultant off the street about 6 years ago. They had a promo by the card for R25 & get R75 airtime, etc... Plus already Rica done deal... Today i decide to port this number into a new sim because the card got damaged & they dont want to port the number because it is not registered on my name. i explained to the Cell C store manager @ the Davenport branch how i purchased the card & he still did not want to port. I asked him why they are selling Rica sim cards if we are going to have hassels in the future.

This is *****, how can they be selling Rica cards to anyone of the street & yet we go instore, they want ID, PoA, etc...

this number as been my work number for 6 years & now i cant do anything.

Who can I report this & open a claim against Cell with?

Cell C does not sell pre-Rica registered SIM cards, if you visit any of our stores and buy a SIM card it will not be pre- Rica registered, you would have to Rica register the SIM card with your details. We will get one of our team members to assist.

Do expect communication.

Yes! Palesa had been in contact with me, but just wasted my time. She confirmed that you were selling Pre-Rica cards during the time that I purchased my cards. But she still cannot do a sim swap for me. What a waste of time Cell C & their staff are. You sell a product but cannot assist & resolving the problem. She also said that you no longer sell pre-rica cards, so i when i told her I am going to send pictures of the people still selling she changed her answer to she does not know & cannot give me a yes r o answer. This is a joke. I can waiting for the details of the Obudmans office to send the pictures that we are going to take out this evening at the Cell C. There new promotion is by a Cell C Rica card & get a juice bottle free. The most inefficient network provider to resolving problems. Can Cell C stop giving hogwash answers & resolve my problem
