Cell C SAFPS Listing

Hi Cell C,

Absolutely appauled at this. Last year, I was a victim of impersonation/***** where some person, unknown to me, approached Cell C and attempted to take out a new contract. I received notifications of these applications via my email, where the I immediately contacted Cell C to notify them of this occurance. I was asked to submit affidavits and other additional documents which I did and the matter went quiet. I received no further engagement from Cell C on the matter and there was no further attempts to debit my account - so I assumed the situation was resolved.

Fast forward a year letter, I approach my bank to apply for a home loan only for the bank to advise me that Cell C has listed me on SAFPS - something I was not advised off. The bank cannot proceed with my home loan application until Cell C overturns the listing. The bank gave me the following details in order for me to contact Cell C and dispute the listing:

Jodashe Ramsamy Cell C *** *** Michelle Thevar Cell C *** ***

I spent the afternoon calling these two numbers. Jodashe's number just rings with no answer. Michelle's does not exist. I emailed both Jodashe and Michelle with no response received yet.

I then decide to call SAFPS to enquire as to what I can do. They confirm that indeed Cell C has put on a listing and they gave me the following number to call in order to rectify:

Siphiwe - ***

I called this number. It is also not answered and now gets cut off to voicemail after one ring.

I then called the call centre who told me that unfortuantely I cannot speak to anyone there - I have to follow a process where they log a call and someone will call me anytime within the next 48 hours (Call ***)!!

It's all great and well Cell C that you expect me to wait whilst I am being sent from pillar to post JUST so that I can get someone to assist me with this problem. I CANNOT AFFORD to wait 48 hours as my bond application needs to be processed before I lose out on the home I want to buy! Can someone assist me urgently please as this is a serious matter.
