Cell C RollerCoaster
Edit: I have upped the rating to 3 stars from 1 stars, after having called to cancel my submission I received a call with the lady I originally spoke to, she ended up sending me verification of approval but has confirmed that they do not have stock available.
Five stars had there been no hassle and stock available. I understand that warehouses try to keep the minimum available in order to prevent dead stock, how ever there is such a thing as keeping stock in hand for slow movers.
Here is my original Review:
After having received terrible service from Cell Cs calls center as well as by dialing their local branch I've decided to share a review.
I don't believe everyone will receive the poor quality of service, how ever many people will.
After browsing the Cell C website for a phone I'm interested in and having found one I put in a request for a contract, it was pre-approved followed by me submitting the requested documents.
The following day I called to find out the status as I am now without a phone which I use for business. The first lady tells me it's currently being processed, In the evening of the second day I am told it was approved and they are now waiting for stock to arrive. The last person I called was the local branch to inquire on whether or not they have stock, they did not and would have the following day. This same lady tells me that the contract was approved however cannot provide me with the confirmation message or email.
Today (3rd day) I call their main call center to find out if the stock has arrived, and get told that my submission is still in the process and has not yet been approved. And that they're still waiting for stock to be shipped.
1) Why are you advertising devices on your website when you've got nothing available. 2) Why are your call center agents blatantly lying about the status of a submission ? And unable to satisfy the question on the status of a submission competently. 3) Why must I wait multiple days in order to land a contract for a cheap phone with Cell C ?
And bonus rhetorical question(s):
Why do they ask me for my cell phone number, when I clearly do not have a phone, hence: What is being app**** for. The Cell C website has further false advertising where it states you may get a device on contract for a certain price under a specific plan, how ever when you call to apply they tell you that this plan is only for existing/upgrading clients, which is no where stated on the website.
Cell C has no stock Cell C has *********** or ill-informed call center agents Cell C takes days (if you read other reviews - weeks) to close a deal Cell C has false marketing
I must say the agents were in no means rude, but they felt like a filter in place to prevent people from actually tracking the progress of their contract, this simply implies poor process management to begin with.
Why can we not login to their website and review the progress of our submission, considering it takes so long ? such as a courier parcels status.
Fix your supply chain, customer service and process management.
To the call center agent that eventually sorted the situation out, thank you.
