Cell C roaming - constant downtime and dropped connections

Up to 4 hours a day, EVERY DAY, I lose my internet connection because you guys go onto roaming. I (bold and underlined) am not roaming anywhere; I haven't moved from my desk but I get a message that I (bold and underlined) am roaming - how typical to try and offload blame onto the consumer, however subtly.

I work from home so it is doubly annoying to constantly lose the connection particularly when I am in a meeting. During a recent interview for a new contract the client expressed concern about my connection. I use my cell as a wifi hotspot. Im actually keeping a record now and while it does vary, it looks a bit like this: DOWN 9am, UP 10.15, DOWN 10.20, UP 10.55, DOWN 11.10, UP 11.15, DOWN 11.30, UP 12.40, DOWN etc. ... I phoned your "service" center and was told to activate roaming, which I did, but it makes no difference. (PS: Your "service" center also "helped" (twice) me with the fact I can't make outgoing calls but I still can't make outgoing calls.) I've read the political, I mean public, relations gumpf, but this so-called new and improved version of Cell C is NOT working for me (and clearly, from what I read in various forums, not for a lot of other people too.)

And please don't tell me to get a signal booster, because it was fine before and why on earth should I now pay more (unless this is deliberate and you have shares in the signal booster business now.) I don't care if you are using MTN towers or have coopted aliens to help you out; this is YOUR responsibility. Have you actually checked out the huge volumes of complaints?

Thank you.

I've connected.

I'll let you know how it goes after 24 hours (in case it's coincidence :-)).

Hi,
I have definitely seen an improvement but today the connection dropped twice and I have to go back and select Cell C as the network again. Is this "normal"?
